Joseph W. Bergeron earned his MD at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and is a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Decades of experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries gives Joseph unique insights about Jesus’s crucifixion. He has authored a peer-reviewed article on Jesus’s cause of death in the Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine and, in collaboration with Gary Habermas, a peer-reviewed article in the Irish Theological Quarterly on hallucination hypotheses that seek to explain away Jesus’s resurrection. His book The Crucifixion of Jesus: A Medical Doctor Examines the Death and Resurrection of Christ is based on his academic research. Joseph lectures at conferences, churches, and universities on medical perspectives of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
He lives with his wife and two sons in Indiana and enjoys playing the piano in his free time.
