The Bible Recap

The Bible Recap Web page

Have you ever closed your Bible and thought, “What did I just read?” Or maybe you've tried to read through the Bible in a year, but quit when it felt confusing or impersonal? Are you one of the many who has read through the book of Genesis approximately 20 times, but hasn't read anything beyond that?

The Bible Recap is here to help! Each day you’ll read the assigned scripture reading then tune in to The Bible Recap podcast, video or book where Tara-Leigh will highlight and summarize that day’s Bible reading in a quick, casual, and easy to understand way. The Bible Recap will not only help you read scripture but help you love reading it!

About

From Tara-Lee's Website:

My earliest memory is learning John 3:16 from my mom, shortly before my brother led me to Christ on a Saturday night while playing board games.

Despite an early introduction to Christianity, I wasted years coasting on the second-hand information I learned about God and His Word from others. When I finally read through the whole Bible for the first time, it changed everything for me!

Because that was such a transformative experience for me, I spend my days doing things that help people read, understand, and love the Bible.

In 2009, I started D-Group (Discipleship Group) with a handful of college students, and it has grown into 300+ groups around the world. We meet weekly—online and in homes and churches—to dig deeper into books or topics from Scripture. I also created and host a daily podcast called The Bible Recap, which aims to keep people connected to reading the Bible when they're tempted to quit for lack of understanding. I also have a daily radio spot called The God Shot.

I love to speak to audiences about God and His Word, and I write books with an aim to point others toward Biblical literacy.

A few times each year, I lead teaching trips to Israel where we study the Bible on site.

I love adventure, I dabble in flying trapeze, and I think every meal tastes better when eaten outside. I live in a concrete box in the skies of Dallas, TX, where I have no spouse, pets, or children—or anything else that might die if I forget to feed it.
