Dr. Mark Jobe, the 10th president of Moody Bible Institute, carries a life story imbued with faith, family, and a passionate commitment to Christian leadership. Married to Dee for 36 years, they have raised three children and now delight in two grandchildren. In the Chicago area, they actively participate in New Life Community Church, a multisite ministry where Dr. Jobe has served as senior pastor since 1986. Both he and his son, Josiah, are Moody graduates, while Dee also received training at the institute.

Born into a missionary family in a small Spanish village, Dr. Jobe's life took a turning point at 17. Leaving the familiar community of 200 people, he embarked on a journey to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. As a student, he immersed himself in both the theoretical foundations of Bible and theology, while gaining valuable practical experience through campus ministry activities. This formative period shaped his future path, fostering a deep understanding of scripture and equipping him with the skills to shepherd others in their faith journey.
